Drug maker recruits son of media mogul Rupert Murdoch as a non-executive director.
Although GlaxoSmithKline is reportedly cutting its workforce to offset the effects of generics, the British drug maker is still hiring. The company said on Tuesday it has appointed James Murdoch, the son of media mogul Rupert Murdoch, as a non-executive director.
Murdoch, who is also chairman and chief executive of News Corp. Europe and Asia, will be part of the main board and the company's corporate responsibility committee. ...
